Mani

Description

Mani is an association, operating in Parma since 2001, trying to achieve social utility and awareness raising regarding cooperation with Developing Countries. It promotes, organizes and encourages international cooperation and social responsibility initiatives, focused on the overcoming of poverty and social injustice causes. Mani pursues the construction of decentralized international cooperation networks through North/South partnerships in order to implement equal and long-lasting projects, both economic and social. Projects are characterized by a direct involvement of individuals from both donors and receiving countries. Mani conceives the migrant as a development agent and  supports migrant communities present on the territory in order to build projects which may be autonomously managed in loco. Mani works within the framework of the co-development. Therefore supports and implements bottom-up international projects, promoting the central role of women and local realities, with the support of migrant communities.
