SSDS - Alliance of Serbian Associations of Slovenia

Description

Alliance of Serbian Associations of Slovenia was founded in 1996 and today gathers 15 Serbian associations across Slovenia. The maing goal is to promote cultural activities and achieving cultural symbiosis, as well as enriching culture at local level. Alliance also focuses to improve the status of Serbian national minority in order to achieve formal minority status. Alliance tries to cooperate with other Associations and organizations, regardless of their national status. We represent Serbian minority when adressing Slovene and foreign authorities.  We also publish a newspaper up to 5x per year, titled "Mostovi" (Bridges), where we try to preserve language and script. Alliance has three ongoing pojects: publishing newspapers, organizing a festival of folklore groups, educating managers of associations.
